6.38 Miles on the Hudson, NYC

Got to NYC on Wednesday for work, and I’d been dying for a run. But between 5 am alarms to catch flights and long nights working, I hadn’t gotten a chance to get out. Finally this morning I got over to the path that runs ups the west side of the island and opened ‘er up. I got going at a pretty fast clip.

Got a chance to test out my new New Balance Minimus road shoes too. They were pretty nice, but by far the heaviest and biggest things I’ve run in. A far cry from their trail brethren. But hey, that’s what you get for running on roads.

Anyway, the path up the river was pleasant if just a little cold. Lots of runners out, of all sizes and crazy outfits. Ah, New York.

Thinking about trying to run around the island this weekend. We’ll see.
